The Accelerated Education Working Group comprises of eight organisations/ agencies. These are: i) UNHCR, ii) UNICEF, iii) USAID & ECCN, iv) the Norwegian Refugee Council, v) Plan International, vi) Save the Children, vii) the International Rescue Committee, viii) War Child. This panel will explore the purpose and progress of the group.
A good project theory of change, according to USAID, is “based on development theory, practice, literature, experience, and is country-specific”. This panel will consider to what extent theories of change often used in EiCC fit these criteria, and how evidence gap maps can help practitioners and researchers.

USAID ECCN presented various EiCC relevant presentations at CIES. For detailed information including a copy of the slides of these presentations, please see the slider above.
Following his presentation, Jim Rogan, USAID ECCN Education and Conflict Specialist, caught up with Leonora MacEwen of the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) at CIES to discuss multi-risk and education analysis. They discussed lessons learned in multi-risk and education analysis and the tools and support needed for UNESCO staff and government partners to do this work in the field.
In case you want to go back and find out what else was presented at CIES that pertains to education in crisis and conflict (EiCC), we have compiled a list (see table to the right).
Last but not least, we’d like to draw your attention to relevant presentations presented by members of the USAID ECCN Community of Practice. For more detailed information on these presentations, please see below.
