CIES Education in Crisis and Conflict Reception
March 28 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Location: Hilton Reforma (Conference Hotel) Restaurant La Terraza (6th Floor)
ECCN was delighted to once again partner with the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE), the Journal on Education in Emergencies (JEiE), the CIES Education, Conflict, and Emergencies SIG, the CIES SIG for Peace Education, and the Basic Education Coalition (BEC) to host the CIES Education in Crisis and Conflict Reception.
Over 200 guests attended the reception to meet colleagues and eminent leaders and scholars in the Education in Conflict and Crisis field. We also paid tribute to our colleague Jackie Kirk, who was killed 10 years ago in an ambush in Afghanistan while conducting her work in EiCC. See Remembering Jackie Kirk for more information.
The posters presented by each of the six hosting organizations provided some opportunities to learn more about each organization, their current work, and how to get involved. The posters can be still viewed further down on this page.
For additional EiCC-related activities and ECCN sessions, please visit the ECCN CIES event page.
